I was on KUOW/NPRs “Week in Review,” which is hosted by Bill Radke. The other roundtable guests were Jane Hu (of City Cast Seattle) and Former Attorney General Rob McKenna.
We started by discussing Seattle’s (misguided) RV legislation, the Mayor’s (excellent) plan for better utilizing city resources in moving folks out of homelessness, and then veered into the root causes of homelessness and how to address housing costs.
Then came a discussion about both the campaign positioning regarding the initiative/ millionaire tax repeal, as well as a discussion about the substance of the bill. On our way to the end, we had a brief stopover on a new Airbnb rule, and mentioned the public reprimand/slap on the wrist for the Seattle Police Lieutenant who psyched up fellow officers about attacking protestors by saying they were going to “fuck people up” and “go in with guns blazing.”
